For many years now the Caves have offered their grand lot for the hunt.
The Garden District Easter Egg Hunt
Bring the kids (12 and under), socialize with the neighborhood families and the Easter Bunny at the Garden District's Annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Civic Association. Drinks, snacks and prizes are all provided so all you have to do is come with your basket(s).
ALL Garden District Residents are invited to attend!
Date: Last Sunday before Easter (Check Calendar to be sure)
Time: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Place: 714 Drehr Avenue (Mike & Amy Cave’s yard)
What to do: Come meet and visit with your neighbors. Bring the kids with their Easter baskets to see the Easter bunny. Hunt for eggs with surprises inside!!! Bring a chair or blanket for sitting & visiting. Light refreshments will be served.
IMPORTANT NOTES FOR PARENTS OF KIDS PARTICIPATING IN THE HUNT:
- Be sure to BRING A BASKET for the kids to put their eggs into
- Children 12 and under are welcome to participate in the Easter Egg hunt
- Children 5 and under will be given a slight head start
- A parent should accompany ALL children
- Help us keep the grounds clean; direct your kids to trashcans for wrappers, egg shells, etc.
PARENTS: We don’t want your kids to be disappointed. The Easter Egg Hunt itself will
begin PROMPTLY at 3:15pm. So, if your kids want to take part in the hunt, make sure they are there before 3:15 because after we say the word “go” it doesn’t take long for a bunch of excited kids to find all of the eggs!!
