Dues can be paid quarterly ($35/quarter paid in Jan, April, July, & Oct) or yearly ($120/year). Well over 90% of GDCA Membership dues go toward off-duty police security patrols. The number of GDCA members we have directly affects the number of security hours we can afford.
How are your dues used?
- Most of the dues go to security patrols
- They pay for social events. Our socials are usually potluck so not very much goes toward these. We buy eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt and sometimes fried chicken. Social events are useful in bringing the neighbors together so we can meet and know each other. Knowing each other improves our safety and quality of life.
- They pay for flyers and delivery to notify residents of upcoming events.
- They pay for any newsletter costs not covered by ads.
