  What does it mean to be a member of the Garden District Civic Association? Neighbors have ask me that question for over 20 years. So here's my cliff notes answer many of you have heard, but for those new to the Garden District...humor me.

  Sunday night neighbors strolled up Camelia and down Drehr in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Roseland Terrace. It was the 1st and hopefully annual - Garden District Champagne Stroll.

  Great music and great party!! Two descriptions for this year's Annual Garden District Summer Social which I heard over and over from folks who attended.

• May 1st, 2011 | Collecting Recipes Now for the Garden District Centennial Cookbook!
  Do you have a fantastic dish you always serve at Thanksgiving? Would you be willing to share the recipe? What about something you traditionally make for Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa or for New Years Eve or Day? We would love to include them in the Garden District Centennial Cookbook.
• April 13th, 2011 | 2011 Tour of Homes Set for May 1!
  On May 1st, a signature event will be held within our neighborhood: The 2011 Garden District Centennial Tour of Homes.
• December 17th, 2010 | 2010 Lighting Contest Winners Announced
  The Holiday Lighting Contest Committee is pleased to announce the following winners of the 2010 Annual Holiday Lighting Contest.
• November 10th, 2010 | GD Security Committee Develops New Crime-Fighting Strategies
  The Garden District Civic Association Security Committee, formed in response to the recent increase in crime, held its first meeting on June 9th.
